Financial Transparency

The City of Garland has been recognized by the Texas Comptroller's Leadership Circle for its excellence in financial transparency.  The Leadership Circle is a program that recognizes Texas local governments and school districts which strive to meet the highest standards for online financial transparency.

What is Financial Transparency?

Financial Transparency means making financial information accessible. The goal of the City of Garland is to keep its citizens and stakeholders informed about how dollars are utilized.  To meet that goal, the City of Garland Financial Services Department offers the following financial information.

Operating Budget

The City of Garand fiscal year begins October 1.  Prior to the beginning of each fiscal year, the City Council approves an operating budget.  Here you will find information on the current year approved operating budget and prior year approved operating budgets.
